His design work spans across the automotive industry from manufactures such as Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Bugatti, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Porsche and Maserati, just to name a few. Giugiaro is also known for the DMC DeLorean, featured in the movie Back to the Future. The Lotus Esprit marked the brand's serious effort to produce a high-performance supercar capable of competing with leading brands such as Ferrari and Porsche.
